In the same way that in OT, the high Priest interceded for the people of God through the sacrifices and in his personal prayers.
1. That they might know the only true God through Jesus Christ
“No one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”—Luke 10:22
2. That they would be kept and guarded by the word
“The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”-Hebrews 4:12
3. That they all might be one
Ephesians 4:13 ... until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
